Scope of Work· The Facilities Engineer is responsible of all areas / building within his assigned zone/areas. · Main focal point for regular random inspection, Audit PPM, reactive, preventive, predictive maintenance tasks. · Working closely with services providers to maintain high quality of service to KAUST community/guests and ensures maximum satisfaction at all times. Ensuring the completion of conducted maintenance activities on a timely manner, monitor quality and completion of jobs and qualification of contractor personnel, ensure adherence to work permits procedures and following up preventive maintenance programs. · The position requires an individual who is flexible enough to assume a variety of roles as dictated by the changing needs of students and residents with the community. It is crucial that an individual be able to relate well to others and handle administrative responsibilities. · Supervise functions of the maintenance activities in KAUST such as Electrical, HVAC, and Hydraulic Major Responsibilities· Assuring the implementation of all Safety and Maintenance procedures and guidelines and report non-compliance with corrective actions. · Performs periodic/regular physical inspection to assigned zone/areas and ensuring compliance with all KAUST Health and Safety policies and standards. · To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and follow up complaints and escalated cases till completion and confirmed with customer. · Monitoring Fire Systems reactive tasks appointments and scheduling in line with the contractual SLA’s · Monitoring of Fire Systems maintenance backlog and make sure proper action is taken to maintain it with in the acceptable limit. · Approve Scope of Work and other technical submittals as part of any projects modification requested by facilities proponents in order to make sure all new Fire Systems modification projects meet the operation and maintenance standards. · Reviewing the technical reports and the root causes analysis reports submitted by Service Provider for Fire Systems repetitive failures and discussing it with the manager in a weekly basis. · Reports substandard or improper/ incomplete work, at the assigned facilities. · Conduct a monthly performance review for all helpdesk analysts to ensure they are up to date with the business requirements · Schedule weekly meeting with Fire Systems SUPT and Zone Managers / Area Owner to discuss performance and ongoing activities · Conduct walkthroughs with Bldg Owners and Bldg Users to provide information and identify issues and discuss BMS PPM progress. Qualifications· Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical) · Design experience of control/ BMS systems mainly Tridium Niagara version N 4.2 or higher, and programming in Simplex control panel · Knowledge in using Maximo system · Excellent skills in Microsoft Applications Experience· At least 7-8 years’ experience working as a Control Engineer Specialist · Has hands-on O&M technical experience in one or more of the following fields: o Electrical distribution system and building electricity maintenance o Simplex control panel o BMS and low current systems
